Spring Training Registration is now open!

District 43 is proud to announce their new initiative to introduce players to advanced metrics and tracking to improve their game. The new 43 Academy will utilize the Driveline Baseball TRAQ program to work with our athletes and track their improvement.

The Driveline program was developed by Kyle Boddy. Boddy has greatly advanced the use of data-driven innovation in baseball player development. He has invested heavily in research and technology, especially in Driveline’s biomechanics lab. Boddy, who led the Cincinnati Reds’ minor league pitching for two years and has consulted for several MLB (and NBA) teams, helped popularize super slow-motion Edgertronic cameras, Pulse pitch-tracking sleeves and weighted baseballs, among other tools. Boddy is committed to sharing scientific results through open-source research, both in peer-reviewed journals and on social media. SABR named Boddy to its list of 50 most influential off-field figures of the past 50 years — alphabetically placing him between Billy Beane and Scott Boras.

The Driveline training program is utilized by Major League Baseball clients that include Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, Alex Wood, Trevor Bauer, Dan Straily, Caleb Cotham, Chris Capuano, Joe Beimel, and Matt Boyd. Many more MLB Players have used or are using Driveline or their products remotely.

District 43's goal is to help give our athletes access to advanced biometric tracking and training, without the high cost associated with joining for-profit travel programs. The lower cost entry point will allow parents to get the same training at significant discount. Coach Chris Singleton who is heading up the initiative is a Driveline Certified Coach, as well has having certifications from USA Baseball.
